February 2021 Reads

The second month of the year is already over – how? When? What? February was a WHOLE lot more hectic and I didn’t have a lot of time to read. I still managed to read 3.5 books – which isn’t bad from my usual standards. Here is my February reading list –

1. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller – My favourite read of the month and probably one of my favourite reads ever. This was a stellar find! Read my entire review here.

2. Circe by Madeline Miller – Again, such a beautiful book – I was hooked to it from the beginning and found it hard to get out of Cirice’s world. Read my full review here.

3. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire SΓ‘enz – Another beautiful read that totally made me fall in love with the characters and the story line. Read my full review here.

Since I have already reviewed each book in detail I’m not re-reviewing them – definitely check out their reviews. I loved my February reads. They were all beautiful books that moved me to tears. I got seriously lucky with my reads this last month. The book that I’m currently reading is ‘The Last Queen’ by Chitra Banerjee and it is yet another winner. I’m also half way through the audio book – ‘The Ride of a Lifetime’ by Robert Iger the chairman and ex CEO of Walt Disney. His story is such an interesting and inspiring one.

What did you read in February? Drop some recommendations below. ❀️

Haha I’ve only read the first two – are there more? My interest fizzled out a lot after the second book. The first was really really good.

Wow. I leave books mid-way if I’m not enjoying the story. πŸ™ˆ But I guess Princess Diaries is a light, fun read.

I should follow your example and try to read at least 3 books per month :O it’s honestly so impressive. The best I can do is crawl through chapters…monthly ☹️

These books were so good that I didn’t want to put them down till I was done. I felt like I was back in school and stayed up all night reading! What are you reading currently?

:O the last book I read that actually kept me riveted that way was The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides – the only book I’ve finished so far, this year.

Currently I’m reading The Piano Teacher by Elfriede Jelinek, which was recommended to me by a friend. So far, I do like it…but it’s like I can’t focus on it for too long >_<

I get it. Sometimes some books have interesting story lines but are a lil heavy to follow. I usually alternate with a light read to help me read faster. 😊

You are having a great time with reading wise. I am somewhat struggling to find something that will take my breath away. Although I cannot abandon the books I am reading which are: Brink Lane by Monica Ali & Tudor England’s masterpiece with over 900 pages written by Hilary Mantel called ”The Mirror & The Lights” xx

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Happy Panda says:

      Wow! Brick lane sounds intense!
TBH I tried reading one of Hilary’s books a few years back but just never got past the first 50-60 pages. I can’t remember which book though. How is The mirror and the light?
I hope my amazing reading streak continues into March! πŸ™‚
